Unsafe Merge Causes Serious Crash on South Cities Service Highway in Sulphur, LA

- Arnold & Itkin

Arnold & Itkin’s truck accident attorneys are currently representing two young people who were seriously injured when a truck driver recklessly merged into their lane.

The accident occurred when the truck driver attempted to merge onto the I-10 eastbound on the South Cities Service Highway onramp in Sulphur, Louisiana. The trucker, who was driving for Houston-based company Tidal Tank, Inc., did not make sure the lane was clear when he merged. He struck our clients’ vehicle with such force that it spun out multiple times, slid into a nearby ditch, crashed through a chain-link fence, and only came to a stop when it struck a parked car. Our clients suffered severe injuries.

Companies like Tidal Tank must be held accountable for placing reckless, untrained, or inexperienced drivers behind the wheel. Trucks are large and powerful vehicles, and the collisions they cause are often catastrophic – like the one that injured our clients. We look forward to getting answers and fair compensation for our clients. We filed this case in Harris County, Texas.
