A plane crashed into a Cypress, TX home's backyard on June 4 after a failed attempt to land at nearby Weiser Air Park. The pilot was the only person onboard the plane, and he emerged from the crash unhurt. The homeowners did, however, sustain damage to the property.
The apparent cause of the crash was pilot error. The plane had landed too far down on Weiser's runway, so the pilot pulled up to make a second landing attempt. On the ascent, the plane's wheels clipped a fence which surrounded the airport, leading to the crash.
