Arnold & Itkin LLP recently filed a case on behalf of an injured longshoreman. Maritime attorneys Jason Itkin and Cory Itkin filed the suit after the man was involved in an accident while unloading cargo from a container ship. The incident occurred when the man was in the ship's hold. The ship's mate closed a hatch which made the hold area dark. A fork lift driver who was close by could not see the longshoreman because of the low light, ran into him and crushed his pelvis. Accidents like these are absolutely avoidable, which is why our firm is proud to file a lawsuit on this worker's behalf. The firm is passionate about fighting for the rights of seamen and longshoremen so that they can get the compensation that they rightfully deserve.
