In Deer Park, Texas, a chemical plant went up in flames after a spontaneous explosion turned into a dangerous fire. Officials claim that the accident happened at the Akzo Nobel polymer chemicals plant that is located on Independence Parkway. The accident occurred at about 1:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Currently, no injuries have been reported in regards to the accident. Local ABC News reports that the explosion is giving off a large cloud of black smoke. While the fire department has officially declared that an explosion to place, there is still no work on why the accident happened.
