The Ranch is an off-road park that offers riders several miles of forest trails, motocross tracks, hill climbs, and gravel pits for off-roading enthusiasts. Our client was paralyzed from the chest down in a motorcycle accident while on the premises of Rocky Road Ranch. We believe that our client was injured because Rocky Road Ranch was negligent in maintaining their property, directly leading to the motorcycle accident. As a personal injury firm, our hope is to present the truth of our client's claim, and secure compensation for himself, his wife, and his two daughters.
Past Accidents on Rocky Ridge Ranch Property
In 2010, a young teenager was killed at Rocky Road Ranch while riding a dirt bike. While navigating a sharp turn, the young man lost control of his bike and flew off of it. Despite wearing a helmet, the 14-year-old unfortunately suffered fatal injuries. People at the scene attempted CPR, and an ambulance eventually came to the scene of the accident, but the boy was dead before medical personnel arrived. It was found that the young man was traveling very fast for the trail he was on, which led to his loss of control.
Off-roading is a naturally dangerous and risky recreational activity, but private property owners like Rocky Ridge Ranch have an obligation to make their clients as safe as possible. When their property contributes to the injury or harm of another, injured parties have a right to pursue compensation for their medical costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Arnold & Itkin LLP intends to help our client do exactly that.
