7 Go to Hospital After Fort Bend Bus Accident

On Wednesday at approximately 7 p.m., a commercial bus broke an axle while traveling on US 59 southbound at FM 360 in Fort Bend County. After the axle broke, the bus continued forward and struck an 18-wheeler. According to officials, seven people were taken to a local hospital for medical attention after the accident. Reports state that none of the people suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident.

Currently, the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash. It is unknown what factors played a part in the axle of the bus breaking.
