Lewisville Apartment Fire Injures 3, May Be "Suspicious"

Shortly before 6:30 PM last night, firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Lewisville, TX. The fire was contained to building 36 in the Lake Park II apartments on Lake Park Rd. Three people were hospitalized as a result of the blaze: the woman who reported the fire, a man on the second floor near her, and a firefighter who reportedly suffered chest pains during the emergency.

Fire Chief Tim Tittle spoke with reporters to offer up details on the fire. He said that the fire started on the first floor and that the fire's causes would be investigated jointly by Division Chief Mark Richards along with Denton County and the Lewisville Police. Lewisville Police Captain Kendall Lynn said the fire appeared "suspicious." He said that the investigation would begin as soon as the scene was made safe.

The fire itself burned for more than half an hour, but was reportedly "knocked down" by 7 PM.

Our Lewisville apartment fire attorneys hope for a quick and full recovery for those left with burn injuries after the fire. As is the case with most structural fires, the investigation should yield definitive answers about what happened and how it can be prevented in the future.
