Suit Filed for Woman Injured by Negligent Taxi Driver
Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Claire Schindler, and Chris Adkins filed a lawsuit in Harris County on behalf of a local woman who was severely injured when a negligent taxi driver failed to pay attention, drove recklessly, and failed to control his speed, causing a devastating collision with our client.
Our client is a retired woman who should be enjoying this chapter of her life. Instead, due to the recklessness and inattentiveness of the taxi driver, she has suffered severe injuries to her head, neck, and lower back that have already required invasive and extensive medical treatment. Beyond the physical pain from her lower back injuries, she is also dealing with the psychological trauma of the crash and reports experiencing PTSD from the incident.
Taxi drivers have a special responsibility to their passengers and other drivers on the road. People trust taxi companies to employ safe, attentive drivers who will get them to their destination without incident. When a taxi driver fails to pay attention and control their speed, they put everyone around them at risk. Because of this, transportation companies must properly screen their drivers, provide adequate training, and monitor driver performance in the interests of passenger and public safety.
Our client's life has been dramatically altered by this preventable crash. She is dealing with ongoing pain, extensive medical treatments, and the emotional trauma that comes from such a violent incident. At Arnold & Itkin, our motor vehicle accident lawyers are honored to fight on our client’s behalf. We are committed to holding both the negligent taxi driver and the transportation company accountable for the recklessness that has caused her so much suffering.
