Jones Act lawyers from Arnold & Itkin LLP filed suit on behalf of a crane rigger from Houston who was seriously injured while working aboard the TELFORD 31 in the Shell Bonga field off the coast of Nigeria. The worker’s foot was tangled in a tag line while the crew was operating a crane lift under dangerous conditions. He suffered terrible injuries from being dragged across the deck, eventually needing a below-the-knee amputation.
Our client must now face the lifelong trauma that comes with amputation due to an accident, but this could have been prevented if the company had prioritized their workers’ safety. We look forward to helping this offshore worker get the medical care he needs and making sure the company is held responsible for the unsafe conditions he and his fellow crewmembers were forced to work under.
The suit was filed in Harris County, Texas.
