Father Struck by Falling Concrete at Refinery

Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Jason Itkin, Caj Boatright, Roland Christensen, and Trent Shelton filed suit on behalf of a young father who was struck in the head with falling concrete in a Louisiana refinery accident. The defendant, who owns the refinery, had been warned three days before this horrific incident that that there were problems with the concrete that required repair. The defendant ignored the request, instead allowing work to be performed in the area to avoid a shut down.
Unfortunately, the defendant’s negligent decision threatened our client’s life. He remains hospitalized as of this writing, and the injuries he sustained could very well be permanent. Head injuries, particularly impact injuries, can cause traumatic brain damage that renders survivors unable to work, function, or enjoy life to the degree they once did. Brain damage is a catastrophic injury, meaning it is long-term and life-changing.
Arnold and Itkin LLP intends to hold this company responsible for cutting corners and putting its workers in danger. Our client deserved better, but the company still has a chance to make things right. If they won’t do it voluntarily, we’ll leave it up to a jury to decide what needs to be done.
The suit was filed in Dallas County, Texas.
