Case Filed for Man Injured on Unsafe Fishing Charter

Attorneys Trent Shelton and Wes Hook filed suit on behalf of an individual who was seriously injured while on a fishing charter with his family.

As the charter encountered increasingly rough waves, the captain failed to follow required safety procedures and did not call all passengers to the back of the boat. Instead, he allowed our client and his family to remain on the bow, a dangerous position when the vessel is navigating rough waters.

Because of this reckless decision, our client was thrown into the air and violently struck the deck, shattering his right leg and left foot. These catastrophic injuries will require extensive medical treatment and a long, painful recovery. This incident was completely preventable had the charter followed basic maritime safety rules designed to protect passengers.

Arnold & Itkin’s personal injury lawyers look forward to holding the charter company responsible for the unsafe conditions and negligent actions that caused our client’s injuries.
