Lawsuit Filed for a Minor Hurt by a Company’s Failure to Supervise
Arnold & Itkin filed suit on behalf of a minor who was sexually assaulted by a fast-food restaurant employee in San Antonio. The employee had been allowing the minor to spend time at the restaurant while working, an obvious and unacceptable violation of safe conduct, and multiple employees and managers knew what was happening but did nothing to intervene.
Minors deserve the highest level of protection, especially in businesses where employees interact with the public. Proper hiring, vetting, and supervision are the bare minimum needed to ensure their safety. As an attorney on the case Roland Christensen stated, “This should never have happened and could have been prevented with simple hiring policies and supervision.”
Instead, this young girl was taken advantage of and will have to live with the fallout for the rest of her life. Arnold & Itkin's legal team takes cases like this personally and will turn over every stone to uncover how this was allowed to happen and to hold every responsible party accountable.
