Suit Filed for Lineman Badly Burned in Electrocution Incident

Our client, an experienced electrician lineman, was working on a defective transformer that Oncor’s employees had failed to properly power down. As a result of this fundamental safety failure, he was subjected to a violent electrocution that caused second- and third-degree burns to 30% of his body, including his feet, chest, back, and left forearm. These painful and life-altering burns require extensive treatment and have permanently changed his ability to work and live comfortably.

This incident was entirely preventable. Electrical utilities have some of the highest safety obligations in the industry because the consequences of cutting corners are severe. Oncor’s failure to follow essential protocols put our client directly in harm’s way.
