Maritime attorneys of the firm recently filed a lawsuit in Harris County, Texas on behalf of a seaman who was injured on the job. The man was working on a barge in the inland waters of Louisiana. He had been commissioned as part of a crew that was lifting a derrick. The man was asked by his employer to walk across an oil-slick surface. Following orders, the seaman did so but slipped and fell. The fall resulted in injuries to the worker's back and knee. Arnold & Itkin will fight to see that this Jones Act seaman gets the compensation that he deserves as a result of his employer's negligence.
