Two Injured After Missouri City Concrete Plant Explodes

On November 13, an explosion occurred at a concrete plant in Missouri City that resulted in severe injuries to two of the industrial workers. One of the workers was burned and taken to a local hospital by Life Flight while the second worker's status is also unknown.

According to the Captain of the Missouri City Police Department, the cause of the explosion that occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. is currently unknown. Following the explosion, the plant was consumed by a massive fire, which was extinguished within an hour thanks to the help of local units from Missouri City, Stafford, and Houston. The explosion occurred at American Materials which manufacturers asphalt.

Motorists are warned to potentially expect travel delays.
