Arnold & Itkin recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a mother whose five-year-old son drowned at the swimming pool of the apartment complex where they lived. The apartment’s pool gate was in disrepair, allowing the five-year-old to gain access to the pool. The young boy succumbed to the effects of drowning despite the efforts of first responders. We filed this case against the owner of the apartment complex as well as its management complex.
According to experts, it can take a child only 20 seconds to drown. Because of how susceptible children are to drowning accidents, apartment complex owners must diligently maintain the fences and walls surrounding pools. Had the two defendants created a safe barrier around the pool as required by law, our client’s child would still be alive today. No mother should suffer the loss of her child because the management and owners of an apartment complex failed to provide a safe environment for children.
Arnold & Itkin’s drowning accident lawyers have a history of holding negligent companies accountable for their poor decisions. We'll fight for justice on behalf of our client and her son.
