Injured Railroad Worker Was Fired for Supervisor’s Negligence

Railroad accident lawyers at Arnold & Itkin have filed suit on behalf of a railroad worker injured by a supervisor's negligence. Our client was injured because his supervisor ordered him to perform dangerous work. He was then fired when his supervisor wouldn’t take responsibility for his poor management.

Employers have a duty to ensure their employees are kept as safe as possible during the course of their work day. If their employees get injured as a result of unsafe conditions, poor training, lack of resources, or any other cause, then the employer must pay for the worker’s medical care, lost income, and related damages. Instead, this defendant fired our client, depriving him of the only means he had to care for himself. That behavior is not only unacceptable, but it’s illegal as well.

Arnold & Itkin is proud to represent this man and looks forward to making his former employer answer for their conduct in a court of law.

This case was filed in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.
