Arnold & Itkin recently filed suit on behalf of a hardworking young man who was injured when another employee turned on a roller machine that was maintained in a dangerous condition by his nonsubscriber employer. As a result, our client was pulled into and pinned by the machine, causing internal bleeding and other injuries because his employer failed to maintain its equipment in a safe manner and failed to adequately train and supervise its employees.
Proper use of machinery, from replacing defective equipment to correct lockout/tagout procedures, is the owner’s responsibility. As a nonsubscriber, the defendant owes our client the full damages he suffered as a result of the accident. That includes medical care and lost wages above all, as well as other losses he has suffered since his injury.
We look forward to representing this young man and holding this company accountable for failing to own up to its responsibilities that it owes hardworking men and women, like our client, who help to make their company successful.
The case was filed in Bexar County, Texas.
