Case Filed for Injured Deckhand in Harris County, TX

Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Caj Boatright, and Joseph McGowin of Arnold & Itkin have filed suit on behalf of a Texas deckhand who suffered serious lower back injuries while working aboard a vessel.

We are currently representing a maritime worker who was harmed because a company failed to follow safe work practices. Our client, who was working as a deckhand at the time of the incident, experienced lower back injuries and has been unable to work as a result.

Every worker has the right to a safe work environment. This is true for offshore workers like our client, even though there are inherent dangers when working on the deck of a vessel. Maritime employers are obligated to take measures that reduce these hazards by way of proper training, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE). When they don’t, serious accidents happen and crew members like our client are injured.

Our maritime lawyers have extensive experience with offshore injury cases and will investigate this incident to determine its cause so we can prove the liability of all at-fault parties. Our ultimate goal will be to help our client get the compensation he needs to rebuild.

We filed this lawsuit in Harris County, Texas, against Kirby Inland Marine.
