Arnold & Itkin is thrilled to announce that five of our attorneys have been selected to the 2021 edition of Super Lawyers® Rising Stars™. Super Lawyers selection is an honor in the legal industry, with the chosen attorneys including the country's most well-known litigators.
This year's selected Rising Stars honorees at our firm include:
- Kyle Findley (2015–2021)
- Noah Wexler (2013–2021)
- Ben Bireley (2019–2021)
- Victoria Alford (2016–2021)
- Joseph McGowin (2018–2019, 2021)
Super Lawyers selection is already rare, with selection limited to the top 5% of practicing attorneys in a given state. Rising Stars is limited to the top 2.5% of practicing attorneys, and eligibility is limited to lawyers under 40 or have been in practice for less than 10 years. As a result, the Rising Stars list represents some of the most accomplished young lawyers in the country.
The Rising Stars selection process is similar to the Super Lawyers process. It begins with a nomination phase, where peers nominate the people they believe most deserve to be on the list. Lawyers are not permitted to nominate themselves, and there is no campaigning. Nominees are then subjected to points-based independent research and evaluation. They are graded on their case results, experience, past awards, bar activity, pro bono work, community service, and other contributions to their profession and society at large.
The independent research phase is followed by a peer evaluation led by the highest-scoring attorneys. These peer evaluations add qualitative analysis to the quantitative evaluation in the previous step. Then, once the points are totaled and peer evaluations are finalized, the final selection takes place. Final selection produces a list of highly accomplished litigators and legal minds limited to 2.5% of the total number of practicing attorneys in the state.
For plaintiffs, the Rising Stars list provides a clear look at lawyers who have already accomplished a career's worth of achievements in the first few years of practice. It's not only a list of people who have accomplished much but also a list of people from whom we can expect even more in the future. Our firm certainly expects our five colleagues to accomplish greater and greater things in their future. We're honored to be a part of it.
