When I represent somebody, it is very personal to me. When I meet somebody, face-to-face, and I see all that they are going through and how they are treated…a lot of times it infuriates me. I love being able to take care of it. When I get up in the morning, I’m thinking about my clients. When I go to sleep at night, I’m thinking about my clients. I’m thinking about “What can I do to make sure they get full justice?”
When Harvey came and damaged our houses and our businesses, many of us were understandably very upset. We were devastated, but we felt secure knowing that at least we had insurance. Then, we file a claim, we do the things we’re supposed to do, and our insurance company says, “No, you don’t have the amount of coverage you thought, you don’t have the type of coverage you thought. Sorry, you’re out of luck.”
That’s not right. That’s not acceptable.
The longer you wait, the insurance company wins. They’re in the business of delay, they’re in the business of denying, and they’re certainly in the business of not paying what they owe. We’ve seen the playbook, we know what they do, and we know how to beat it, but we can’t beat it unless you call us. The longer you wait, the more time they have to do the things they want to do, to prevent you from getting the help you need and deserve.
