Case Filed for Decorated Texas Veteran Injured by Reckless CDL Driver

Attorneys Kurt Arnold and Chris Adkins filed suit today in Bexar County on behalf of a decorated Texas veteran who was severely injured when a negligent commercial vehicle driver failed to control his speed and collided with our client's vehicle.

Our client served his country with distinction, only to have his health and future put in jeopardy by a driver who couldn't be bothered to pay attention to the road. Commercial vehicle drivers are entrusted with tens of thousands of pounds of moving steel, and that responsibility comes with a duty to remain alert and drive at a safe, controlled speed at all times. This driver failed on both counts, and our client is the one paying the price.

Speeding and inattentiveness are among the most common and most preventable causes of commercial vehicle collisions. Trucking companies have a duty to train their drivers, monitor their conduct, and enforce safety policies that keep dangerous drivers off the road. When those safeguards fail, catastrophic injuries like the ones our client suffered are the result. Our client now faces severe injuries to his head, neck, and back that have already required invasive and extensive medical treatment, with a long recovery still ahead of him.

This reckless commercial driver and his employer are responsible for inflicting injuries on a man who has already given so much in service to others. Our motor vehicle accident lawyers are committed to holding the commercial driver and his employer accountable for the harm that they have caused.
