Representing Family of Texas Man Killed in Mine Ground Collapse
Attorneys Noah Wexler, Trevor Courtney, and Shane Munton filed suit against a mining company on behalf of the family of a Texas man who was killed while performing dumping operations at the company's mine.
Our client, a heavy equipment operator, was doing routine work when the ground beneath his haul truck gave way. The mine operator had failed to maintain a safe worksite, having failed to ensure that the ground could support the weight of the truck he was operating. As a result, our client's truck tumbled down a hill, and he suffered fatal injuries.
Mine operators have a basic duty to inspect their sites and confirm that the ground can safely bear the weight of the heavy equipment used there every day. When that duty is ignored, workers can perform routine tasks that they had every reason to believe were safe, and pay for it with their lives.
Arnold & Itkin is committed to holding companies accountable when they put workers in danger. No one should lose their life while performing routine work because a company failed to make safety its priority. Our wrongful death attorneys will pursue full accountability on behalf of this family as they navigate the loss of their loved one.
