Suit Filed for Chemical Plant Worker Injured in Elevator Fall
Arnold & Itkin attorneys Kurt Arnold, Roland Christensen, Alec Paradowski, Jonathan Mack, Daniel Moreno, and Taylor Fox have filed suit on behalf of a man who was injured when an elevator at a chemical plant fell unexpectedly. The man was transporting equipment within the plant when the elevator suddenly dropped and jolted him around, causing his injuries.
Employers and plant owners have a responsibility to provide workers with a safe place to work, including the elevators used to move within the plant. Arnold & Itkin knows the ins and outs of what employers and plant owners are required to do, along with the standards for elevator inspections and maintenance. We look forward to fighting for justice on behalf of our client.
As one of the work injury attorneys on the case explained: “The elevator our client was in had broken down time and time again leading to the incident where he was injured. Instead of permanently fixing the issue, the bare minimum to get the elevator back in service was done. All too often, plant owners take the quick route instead of the safe route, and this is one of those instances. We will do everything in our power to hold the companies involved accountable.”
The case was filed in East Baton Rouge Parish.
