Wrongful Death Suit Filed Against Fell Marine and Brunswick Over Kill-Switch Failure
Led by attorney Trent Shelton, the Arnold & Itkin team has filed suit in Broward County, Florida, against Fell Marine Inc. and Brunswick Corporation. The suit is a wrongful death action that alleges that the defendants’ boat's kill-switch device failed to shut off the vessel's engine, resulting in our client being struck and killed by the propeller.
Kill-switch devices exist for one critical reason: to stop a boat's engine and propeller the instant something goes wrong. Boaters and their families trust that these devices will function exactly as designed, especially in the moments when lives depend on it. When a kill-switch fails, the consequences can be fatal, and that is exactly what happened here.
Our client's family is left to grieve a preventable loss caused by a product that was supposed to protect their loved one. Our product liability attorneys are pursuing full accountability from Fell Marine and Brunswick Corporation for the defect that has cost this family dearly.
