Mississippi Farmer Injured by 18-Wheeler Failing to Maintain Lane

Attorneys Kurt Arnold and Chris Adkins filed suit today in Hillsborough County on behalf of a Mississippi farmer who was severely injured when a negligent 18-wheeler driver failed to pay attention and failed to maintain a single lane of travel, causing a collision with our client.

Our client has worked full-time in agriculture since 2020, running a low-crop farm and, as of last year, a sod farm as well. The kind of work he does requires him to be present, physically capable, and hands-on. That reality was ripped away the moment a careless truck driver drifted out of his lane and into our client's path.

Since the crash, our client has suffered a severe concussion, dizziness, nausea, and debilitating headaches, along with sharp pain radiating from his neck to the top of his head, and a left shoulder so limited in range of motion he cannot raise his arm above his head. Unable to run his own equipment, he has had to pay outside contractors to lime, fertilize, and spray his fields, costs he estimates at roughly $200,000 so far, on top of the injuries themselves.
