Texas Man Killed by Unlicensed 18-Wheeler Driver in New Mexico

Attorneys Noah Wexler, Trevor Courtney, and Shane Munton recently filed a case in Eddy County, New Mexico, on behalf of a Texas man who was killed after a large 18-wheeler crashed into his truck. The driver operating that 18-wheeler did not have a valid CDL and should never have been on the road in the first place.

Commercial driving companies have a duty to verify that every driver they place in a massive vehicle like an 18-wheeler is properly licensed and qualified to operate it safely. That duty exists because the consequences of ignoring it can be fatal, just as it was here. This tragedy could have been prevented by the employer following basic hiring and screening standards.

Our client's family is now left to grieve a death that never should have happened. Our wrongful death attorneys are committed to holding both the driver and that driver's employer responsible for their recklessness and negligence.
