Get to Know Victoria Alford
Victoria Alford
I wanted to be an attorney since I was a little girl. I mean, for as long as I can remember, watching attorneys on TV. I think part of that is, I've always been a pretty tough girl, and all of the attorneys on TV were men. I thought that they needed a few more women.
So I went to law school here in Houston. When I was in school, I clerked for a judge. While I was clerking for him, an attorney from Arnold & Itkin came in just for a hearing, and after the hearing, the judge told me, "Arnold & Itkin, those are the guys. That's the personal injury firm in town." I saw a posting for an open position for a law clerk, and I just knew I had to have it.
I love working at Arnold & Itkin for a lot of reasons. One is about the clients. The people that we help are people who are in unimaginable situations, and they have nowhere else to turn. We make a difference in their lives. I don't know that all attorneys get that opportunity to really make a change in other people's lives the way that we do.
