Arnold & Itkin Earns 4 Tier 1 Rankings in 2027 Best Law Firms

Arnold & Itkin has been named a Tier 1 law firm in Houston in the 2027 edition of Best Law Firms, the annual rankings published by Best Lawyers®. The firm earned the top tier in four practice areas: Admiralty and Maritime Law, Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions - Plaintiffs, Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs, and Product Liability Litigation - Plaintiffs.

Best Law Firms rankings are built differently than individual attorney honors. Rather than evaluating a single lawyer's record, the process looks at a firm as a whole, drawing on feedback from clients and from other attorneys who have worked opposite the firm in litigation. Firms are assessed on criteria like legal knowledge, responsiveness, integrity, and whether a peer attorney would be willing to refer a client to them or view them as serious trial competition. A Tier 1 ranking represents the highest distinction a firm can receive in a given practice area and region.

These rankings reflect a track record built over many years across the firm’s key practice areas. In the mass tort space, the firm's attorneys were part of the trial team that won an $8 billion verdict against Johnson & Johnson over Risperdal in 2019, and more recently helped secure a $2.25 billion verdict in Roundup litigation in 2024. On the personal injury side, that track record has continued this year, with the firm's attorneys winning a $604 million verdict in Dallas County against freight broker C.H. Robinson over a fatal trucking crash, along with a $61.5 million verdict for survivors of the Watson Grinding explosion. In admiralty and maritime law, Arnold & Itkin continues representing offshore workers and their families in Jones Act and general maritime claims along the Gulf Coast, an area of practice the firm has built since its founding in 2004.
