Man Attacked at Houston Storage Facility While Security Failed to Intervene
The Arnold & Itkin team, led by attorney Trent Shelton, has filed suit in Harris County against Maka Group, Inc., American Auto Storage, Schumacher Auto Storage, and an individual defendant for a premises liability matter that occurred around August 4, 2024, at the defendants’ storage facility in Houston, Texas.
Our client was violently attacked by another individual at the facility. He was punched in the face, knocked unconscious, and struck repeatedly while on the ground. A private security officer hired by the defendants was allegedly present during the assault but failed to intervene. As a result, our client suffered a fractured nose, fractured cheekbone, and lacerations requiring stitches, along with other serious bodily injuries, which include brain trauma since he violently lost consciousness.
Property owners who hire security personnel have a responsibility to ensure that those personnel act to protect the people on their premises. At Arnold & Itkin, our premises liability lawyers are committed to pursuing accountability for the injuries that our client has suffered.
