Texas Man Injured in I-30 Lane-Change Crash
Arnold & Itkin has filed suit in Illinois on behalf of a Texas man who suffered severe and permanent injuries after a commercial truck driver changed lanes into his vehicle on Interstate 30. Despite our client honking to warn him, the truck driver continued into his lane and struck the passenger side of his vehicle.
Our client suffered injuries to his neck, back, and ankle in the crash, serious, painful, and costly injuries that affect not only one’s quality of life but also their ability to work. The lawsuit also seeks to hold the trucking company accountable for failing to properly hire, train, and supervise its commercial driver, allegations that point to safety failures beyond the moment of impact.
Commercial drivers are required to check their surroundings before changing lanes, and trucking companies are responsible for ensuring that the people they put behind the wheel are qualified and prepared to do so safely. Our motor vehicle accident lawyers will continue fighting to make commercial carriers answer for their unsafe drivers and preventable crashes like this one.
