Case Filed Against DoorDash After Drunk Driver Causes Crash

Attorneys Jason Itkin, Cory Itkin, and Danny Cassee filed suit in Harris County against DoorDash on behalf of a man who suffered a traumatic brain injury and severe neck and back injuries after being struck by a drunk DoorDash driver.

Our client did nothing to invite the collision. He was simply on the road when a driver, who DoorDash never properly vetted and placed behind the wheel, was operating while impaired. This drunk driver crashed into our client with life-altering force. Injuries like the traumatic brain injury that he sustained are the kind of injury that a person spends years recovering from, if they ever fully recover at all.

DoorDash bears responsibility for who it puts on the road. Rideshare and delivery companies are expected to screen the people who they hire to interact with the public, and when that screening fails, the consequences can be catastrophic.

They place hundreds of thousands of drivers on the road, and when they fail to vet those drivers, the public is placed at risk.
